Since we were now finally set for the future, we got to spend this time planning for our move. We were hoping to buy a house, but goddamn, wtf are some of y’all doing??? Paying cash and forgoing and inspection? No thanks, I ain’t tryna mess with that. I did find it funny how opinionated some of y’all are about the D.C./Baltimore area, especially those of you who never lived anywhere else. I hate to break it to you, but all those mid-Atlantic cities/suburbs are all the same shit. Get over it.
We also got our vaccines during this time, so that was pretty cool. The side effects were pretty strong, but I only felt particularly bad from like 18 hours in to 24 hours in. I was fine on either side of that. It sure felt good to get a vaccine, though. I kept seeing SO many people getting them, and I was starting to get pretty pissed. Where is MY vaccine? What do I gotta do to get one????? No reward for the responsible.
In closing, I am very thankful for the friends I have. Some of you all were absolutely critical to me getting through this thing. You know who you are. And of course, could not have done it without Bae! We cooked every single meal from Mar 2020 to Mar 2021. I’m not trying to say we’re better than you for this, but we’re better than you for this.
Anyway, let’s enjoy the next few months while we got em. I hate to be a pessimist all the time, but many of you have made me this way. I estimate we have about 4 more months before the next vaccine-evading variant starts fucking us. I sure hope I’m very, very wrong.
