Well, we unfortunately have arrived at our final day in Spain. Bae and I grabbed a train and headed back into the city. Our first goal was to go see the Barcelona stadium. Can’t go there without seeing the football stadium, right??? The walk there was cool, but unfortunately the stadium was a bit of an eyesore with all of the cranes. I have no idea how they played a home game like 4 days after we were there.
You can pay a lot of money to take tours of the stadium, or eat there, but we decided to just go into the shop and pay a lot of money. The shop was QUITE the operation. They had two levels of cashiers, and three levels of merchandise. Interestingly, you could only buy named/imaged stuff of like 5 players.
We then walked around the other side of the stadium and picked up a subway to take us to our next destination.

Our next destination was the CosmoCaixa science museum located at the base of the mountains to the north of the city. The walk over there was pretty cool.

And the museum itself was WAY cool. Only 8 bucks, too.
My favorite part of the museum was the cloud chamber they had set up. You can see the tracks from the cosmic rays and other sources of electron/alpha particle decay, including the sources you could press a button to expose to the cloud chamber.
We then walked back to our metro, grabbed some dumplings/gelato somewhere else, then headed back. We had one final meal back in the town that was near the airport. Here are some photos of that. It was a good day.
If you made it this far, GREAT job. My closing thoughts are that this was a FANTASTIC trip, and I am so glad the eclipse worked out. We probably won’t be able to see the next one, but we will definitely be at the 2030 one Down Unduh’.
I’ll close my saying that the Spanish people were fantastic, and Spain (at least this part) is my favorite European country I’ve been to. It probably helped that I sort of spoke the language, but still, everyone seemed just way nicer than other parts of Europe I’ve been to (looking at you, Alemania and Switzerland), and we really didn’t have an issue getting around or paying for stuff.
