Today we didn’t really feel like getting on any sort of public transportation after our long day of that yesterday. We decided to just walk around and explore the city. One of our goals was to find gifts for people that we like. We were successful (well, for some of you)!
We wandered into this oil and vinegar shop where the dude who makes it all was awesome. He was extremely nice, spoke English to us no problem, and did everything in his power to make us spend money. We obliged, and got some amazing gifts. At this place, everything is up to try. We should have just eaten breakfast there.
Couple of shots of the Freiburg street area:
I wonder if Slumdog Bike Co. could fix that one up to slum around on. We decided that this place is not particularly pedestrian friendly, as we almost got biked down multiple times. Also, I guess theses kids are too cool for helmets.
After shopping, we went up the hill to the east to climb this big tower:
I had the pleasure, again, of giving directions to someone to get to the tower. We hadn’t yet been there ourselves, but because I know what cardinal directions are and had looked at a map, I was able to point the lost travelers in the correct direction. Gonna register as a local guide on German Google Maps.
Anyway, the views from the top were quite spectacular!
On our way back down, we discovered see German heiroglyphs telling some important stories about their culture.
That one shows that the Lizard people actually founded Mercedes Benz, which the Germans then inherited.
This one is just a horse head with legs talking to a merman.
Penis.
The walk was quite good, and we returned home to eat lunch. Here is the map of our morning travel.
The afternoon walk we then took after lunch actually featured wildlife as we went to “Seepark”!
It was this gorgeous lil lake to the west where we spotted some animals:
There was also another tower here, so we climbed that thing.
Some decent views at the top of that guy, too.
And you could even see the first tower from this tower. You’ll probably need to squint at the picture, but it is up there on the hill.
On our walk back, we finished watching the tour de France stage. Goddamn Peter Sagan is one strong MF. Here is a map of our Seepark walk.
Also on the way home, we stopped to get some dinner.
And here is what it looked like :
Bae Flay made it. It was delicious. After dinner, we went to the same bar as last night to watch Croatia emerge victorious over England. We will be watching the final in France!!!!

P.S. who can tell me what the following building is? We didn’t bother to look it up.

The building is known locally as Das Dagger Penis (meaning is lost to antiquity). That dinner looks good for an appetizer. Followed by fat steaks and mashed potatoes.
