Since we all have stupid jobs and have to work, we couldn’t just stay at Phil’s world forever. It was time to disperse. TPine and JK headed back South, but GMac and I continued North to Salt Lake, GMac was going to visit his family in Idaho, so we got some bonus time to hang out.

We decided to slam the Klondike Bluff trails outside of Moab on our way back to Salt Lake. These trails were a bit more technical than the other trails, but nothing we couldn’t punish. Unfortunately, I didn’t get great video of this, but here’s a video to see what it looked like:

And here is that Garmin:

It was just great to be on the bike for another day, not worrying about what was happening back home on the email. This was the first trip in a LOOOONG time that I could really just unplug. The lack of phone service realllllllly helped. Since the World of Academia is full of workaholics and never really shuts down, the only way to really get away is to either break all of your devices, or get away from WiFi/LTE. I should probably do this more often.

Anyway, after that great ride, we finished our journey to Salt Lake where we took some much needed showers. Not together, obviously. Our hot water heater only half works.
